Whether it be shearing on your property or at a trailer day location, we aim to delight with a low-stress shearing experience. Here at Kobler, we believe in the viable future of the alpaca fibre market, and you can rest assured knowing your alpacas and their fleece will be treated with the utmost respect.
Queensland and Northern New South Wales
Kobler head up to Southern Queensland and Northern New South Wales in early September. Currently we only spend approximately two weeks in the area before heading back south.
South Australia
Kobler start shearing in South Australia from mid September and typically finish shearing towards the end of Feburary. We cover areas including but not limited to; Yorke Peninsula, Mid North, Adelaide Hills, Fleurieu Peninsula, Murray Lands and the Upper South East.
Throughout the shearing season Kobler will make several trips into Victoria primarily to support some of our larger clients.
We are currently supporting five trailer days across the Fleurieu Peninsula, Barossa Valley and York Peninsula. These are great to save the owner money and get their alpacas sheared sooner.
Our preference is always to shear on a shearing table. We believe this is better for both the alpaca and the entire shearing team. If there is simply no means to set up a table, we can shear on the ground as well.
Kobler utilise the best shearing equipment avaliable from both Heiniger and Beiyuan. Whether utilising mechanical shearing plants or electic handpieces we carry spares and workshop materials for almost everything. Our commitment to not letting breakdowns get in the way of getting the job done even includes a generator for power outages.
