We became involved with alpacas in 2006. It became evident very quickly that there was a lack of options for shearing. In 2007 James undertook training to shear alpacas with the intent of only ever shearing the Kobler and Prados mobs. This changed quickly with the introduction of a trailer shearing program shearing for anyone who brought alpacas to the then farm in Meadows SA. By the 2011 season, James had commenced a mobile shearing service servicing the Adelaide Hills. The mobile shearing service has expanded ever since. Currently, we are servicing farms in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia.
